Making paper has always been a fundamental part of my work, as the textured surface informs my painting and provides an exciting and challenging landscape upon which to paint. However, more recently I have swapped acrylic for oils and made paper for wood and this has allowed me to focus more on mark-making rather than texture. I think it is important as an artist, to push the boundaries and to challenge and change your working process.
My most recent achievements are:
Heat finalist on Sky Arts Portrait Artist of the Year 2014
Contestant on Sky Arts Landscape Artist of the Year 2015
Winner of the People's Choice Award 2017 - Harley Gallery UK
